Goldilocks

“Goldilocks,” is named for the plant Lysimachia nummularia, or “Moneywort”, known for its beautiful round leaves that resemble large coins and grow on its stems in paired opposites. Designed as three separate mobiles, each is composed of approximately 33 multi-layered and multi-colored glass “leaves,” ranging in size from two feet in diameter to six inches, suspended from painted steel “branches” with special branch-like connections designed by the artist. The three mobiles, each 25’ high and weighing approximately 1,000 pounds, will hang from the ceiling in the building lobby and are framed by the building’s 25-foot-high glass window at the entrance, so that the project will be completely visible from the street in both day and night.
